Has anyone else noticed that C-cells no-longer fit in some Ruston diesels?
I assume tat c-Cells have got bigger over the years. I knew that Duracell cells are generally slightly over-size, but I have a Ruston diesel for which I could not find any C-cells that fit, so I converted it to run on AA batteries.
Definitely the Duracell battery does not fit into the yellow loco, how did you modify it to take the AA size?
Am discovering the Big train to build a garden railway for my two grandsons, looking forward to getting it up and running. Any help or advice you can give me is appreciated.
I don’t know how Mike from Australia converted his loco to fit AA batteries but you can use these AA battery holders and connect these to the base of the original brass battery pickups/retainers.
